I received product samples in exchange for an honest review, however my opinions are 100% my own.
One of the things that I love sharing here at SAHM is easy, simple recipes for busy parents. I know how my days are and I am sure yours are similar. Work, school (in my case homeschool), sports activities, doctor appointments, and keeping the house in order can make for an extremely hectic week. I love to cook a delicious homemade dinner every night for my crew but let’s face it….time is never on my side. So everything that I share here on my blog is easy, budget friendly, and (usually) fairly healthy too.
My kids love pasta and would gladly eat it almost every day if I let them. A delicious pasta bake is easy to whip up on a week night, and can be made with almost any pasta and cheeses that you have on hand. I recently found some incredibly delicious pasta sauces from Victoria Fine Foods that really added a special touch to my Cheesy Italian Pasta Bake that I am going to share with you.
Victoria Fine Foods began in 1929 when an Italian family immigrated to Brooklyn, New York and started a business making slow-cooked sauces using fresh ingredients. Victoria has a large selection of wonderful pasta sauces that compliment any dish you can think of. Their sauces are slow kettle-cooked to get a truly homemade taste in every jar. Other major brands use a “flash cook” method with quick heating transfer tubes which finishes the cooking process in minutes. Victoria’s artisanal approach ensures that customers like us get what we want….delicious homemade taste.
Victoria uses the best ingredients in their sauces as well. 100% Italian tomatoes, heart-healthy imported olive oil, fresh garlic, fresh basil, fresh onions. No preservatives, water or added sugar are ever added.
With so many mouth watering flavors to choose from, you’ll be able to find that perfect sauce for that perfect dish! Now for the recipe that I promised to share. I made a quick and easy Cheesy Italian Pasta Bake using the Tomato Basil pasta sauce from Victoria Fine Foods. When I popped the jar open I could literally smell and taste the difference between this sauce and my usual popular brand. This….sauce….tasted…Ahh-mazing right out of the jar! It really tasted like it had been slow-cooked for hours. I added the entire contents of the jar to a pound of cooked ground beef, a can of diced tomatoes, and a small chopped onion.
This just smelled heavenly while simmering. My kids all asked for a taste test of the sauce and agreed that it was the best they had ever had. Next, I poured the sauce/meat/tomato combination over the top of cooked extra large elbow noodles. We chose these noodles because they looked fun, but you can really use any pasta that you have in the pantry. After that, top with a generous sprinkling of shredded cheese, your choice. We used mozzarella for our pasta bake.
Bake in a 350 degree oven for about 30 minutes until cheese is melted and voilà…dinner is ready! This can be served with garlic bread and a side salad if you prefer.
Our family was thrilled with the sauces from Victoria Fine Foods and I don’t think we will ever go back to our old brand. The taste really does speak for itself!
