I received product samples in exchange for an honest review. My opinions are 100% my own.
Living in sunny Florida we get our fair share of bugs and the bug bites to go with them. We have fire ants and mosquitoes galore here along with many other interesting critters. Still, despite the bugs we love to spend time outdoors. My oldest son has very sensitive skin and tends to develop a rash every time something bites him and we have been told by his pediatrician that he is mildly allergic to fire ants as well. Even though we are extremely careful to make sure he wears shoes outdoors, doesn’t poke at ant hills with sticks (Ah…BOYS!) or run them over with his bike tires, he still gets a bite every once in awhile. Fire ant bites are no fun indeed. There’s a very good reason why they are called “fire ants” and the bite often itches and gets red and sometimes a little puffy until it finally heals. There usually isn’t that much you can do for them except to keep the area clean and use hydrocortisone creme and Neosporin.
At least that was the case until we tried Zim’s Advanced Crack Creme with Hydrocortisone. Every medicine cabinet should have a tube of Zim’s in it! Keep reading and take a look at the Before and After photos of an insect bite that we treated with Zim’s. First though, a bit of history. Zim’s started over 60 years ago with the invention of crack creme by a pharmacist in Ohio. Nowadays, there are over 25 products, all naturally based, ranging from lotions to diabetic care.
Zim’s Advanced Crack Creme is made from Organic Aloe and Arnica and can be used for so many minor skin irritations such as eczema, psoriasis, poison ivy, poison oak, sumac, insect bites, detergents, jewelry, cosmetics, soaps and more. Wow, so many ways to use this awesome stuff. We decided to really put it to the test and sure enough, we got the chance when my curious bug loving son came inside from playing and complained of a bug bite right in his armpit! What an awful place to have an itchy bite. Right away, after washing the area, I applied a small amount of Zim’s Advanced Crack Creme to the area. The first thing that both my son and I both noticed was the pleasant smell of the creme. It doesn’t smell like your typical first aid creme but instead smells mild and almost like flowers or herbs.
The creme was also non-greasy and absorbed very quickly into my son’s skin. He told me that the intense itching from the bite was starting to go away very soon after I applied the creme. Then, just a few hours later, I took another look at the insect bite and was thrilled to see that it was no longer red and was mostly gone. No rash, no redness, and most importantly no more itching! Hooray for Zim’s Advanced Crack Creme!
See the difference? We are very pleased with Zim’s Advanced Crack Creme and intend to keep this handy at all times.
Along with the Crack Creme, I was also given the opportunity to try out Zim’s Max-Freeze for sore muscles and joints. I work out regularly and there are so many times that I over do it just a bit and end up with sore muscles the next day. Usually I just cover my sore muscles with the usual Icy Hot creme but that stuff has such a strong smell that no one wants to get near me! Zim’s Max-Freeze is made from organic ilex, aloe, arnica, vitamin E and tea tree oil. It comes in a convenient spray on formula, so no more messy hands and has a very pleasant scent that is not overpowering at all. I can use this during the day if I need to without stinking up the house! It dries quickly on the skin too so you don’t have to wait to get dressed once you use it.
Does it really ease those sore muscles and joints? You bet it does, and fast! I only had to apply this product one time on my leg muscles but you can use it up to 4 times a day if needed. I was free from pain within 30 minutes and it lasted all day.
I highly recommend Zim’s wonderful products to families or individuals who want natural health products that really work. I know my family will be using Zim’s for many years to come.
