While the kids and I were shopping at our local Aldi’s store this weekend, we came across an interesting item in the toy aisle called Squishy Baff Bath Kit.
. The product claims to transform your plain old bath water into a gooey magical land of fun! Then, once you’ve finished playing, another magical ingredient will change the goop back into bath water. Of course the kids begged me to buy this! I decided to go ahead and give it a try since I had to admit that I always wanted to play in a tub full of goo! 😉 The kids chose the green color but other colors like blue and pink were available as well.
So bath time rolled around and the kids, really just the boys, were so excited to try this product. Squishy Baff says that it is safe for the environment, non-irritating and won’t clog your drain as long as you follow the easy directions. The package came with enough for two baths plus detailed instructions.
So we filled the tub with about 2.5 inches of lukewarm water and the boys hopped in the tub. We sprinkled the entire contents of one of the green color packages into the water and the boys began to stir. Within about 5 minutes, the water not only turned a bright green, but it also began to change into awesome, squishy, fabulous green GOOP! Really I was just as amazed as the kids were!
The boys had soooo much fun with this stuff! They poured it into containers, squished it between their fingers and even had a green goo fight in the tub! (yes it got more than a little messy!)
This photo shows you just how goopy this stuff really is!
So after the boys had had enough of the crazy fun, it was time to really put this stuff to the test! Would it really dissolve and go down the drain or would I be scooping this stuff out of the tub by hand long into the night hours and vowing never to buy it again?
I opened a package of the white powder and poured it evenly into the tub of goo and added a little more water from the faucet. We stirred it up and thankfully, within minutes the goo began to change right back into water. There was a small amount of residue left behind but it all rinsed down the drain easily!
I breathed a sigh of relief!
We all had fun with Squishy Baff and we would buy it again…maybe this time in pink!
